Dear ESACH members and subscribers, we are rapidly entering into the holiday season and, like every month, ESACH is here to bring you plenty of events and news from the heritage sector. First of all, a warm welcome to the new members and subscribers that joined ESACH this month. We are excited to see that the interest in our activities keeps growing!
This month, we decided to open the newsletter with a picture of the Vauban’s Fortifications in Briançon, situated at the border between France and Italy. For a long time, these beautiful 17th century fortifications were threatened by climate change and lack of maintainance, until the local community launched an ambitious restoration project. For this reason, the site was enlisted in the 7 most endangered programme launched by Europa Nostra in 2013. If you want to know more about this amazing initiative, check out the dedicated website! We also have three new additions to our team: Riley will assist the ESACH Talks!, Sorina will be in charge of the Ambassador program (read below!) and Martina will take care of the ESACH Groups. If you joined the last ESACH Talks! session on new technologies and innovation in November, you can fill in this form and provide us with your feedback. We would like to hear your suggestions for the future, so that we can improve our activities! As always, if you want to be always up-to-date on our work, make sure to follow us on social media and to check out our website! Enjoy the reading!
