esach talks! people and heritageWhere: Online
Date: 6 Oct 2020, 7pm CET Theme: People and Heritage In partnership with Europa Nostra details
ESACH Talks are an interactive, fast-paced event that provides a platform for sharing knowledge amongst students and young professionals working within cultural heritage studies. Each Talk has a length of 45 minutes and includes presentations by ESACH students and young professionals, as well as some time for discussions and comments. To make things more interesting, each presentation lasts five minutes, and must be accompanied by a slide presentation. Attendance is open to everybody, not just ESACH Members. Theme
In our first ESACH Talk, we are inspired by the work of Europa Nostra as the leading citizens' movement to protect and celebrate Europe's cultural and natural heritage. We will be exploring young perspectives on the topics related to civic involvement and democratic participation in heritage matters, such as citizens' roles in the preservation of heritage, youth participation, participatory management strategies and people-centered approaches to heritage. speakers

ESACH MEETING 2021Where: Madrid, Spain
Date: Spring 2021 Theme: Our common past, our future details
The 3rd ESACH Meeting "Our common past, our future", is organised by ESACH and the MA Cultural Heritage in the 21st Century: Management and Research (ESACH Madrid). It will be hosted by the Complutense University of Madrid and open to both members and non-members. The meeting was meant to be in June 2020. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it was postponed to 2021. Theme
The meeting aims to continue the work carried out in previous meetings in Girona (2018) and Genova (2019) by creating a place for the exchange of knowledge and ideas about cultural heritage. In 2021, the emphasis will be on sustainable management strategies, the 2030 Agenda and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. We believe that cultural heritage has much to contribute in the fight against the climatic emergency, as reflected in the development of the COP25 Madrid-Chile 2019. speakers
The Meeting will consist of 14 presentations and eight poster presentations, as well as a practical workshop on Cultural Heritage Management and visits to cultural sites throughout Madrid. In addition, we will invite heritage experts, professional and community associations to participate in specific presentations and discussion tables. The list of speakers will be updated closer to the date. |
