Call for World Heritage Volunteers 2022 in Romania themed ‘Fostering Youth Commitment towards World Heritage’.
Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation and its partners, “Heritage for the Future” Cultural Association & Viscri Council, opened the World Heritage Volunteers - Viscri 2022 Action Camp call for volunteers are looking for young professionals and students in the cultural heritage field willing to gain practical knowledge on heritage site management and protection, interested in community engagement and rural heritage. The project is located in Viscri (Romania) a part of the Villages with Fortified Churches in Transylvania World Heritage Site. For more information and application details click here. “Who’s afraid of decolonisation?” training - a training organised by NEMO and hosted by the UK Museums Association, SS Great Britain and Bristol Museums, it will take place on 16 September in Bristol, the United Kingdom. The training will explore what decolonisation in museums means and also include introductions to the theories and practices behind this work.

Interpret Europe Training days 2022 - this five-day event, scheduled to take place on 7-11 October in Terres de l’Ebre, Catalonia (Spain), will build on Interpret Europe’s training programme and will include workshops, study visits and presentations aimed at empowering heritage practitioners to help people connect with heritage and help them build their acceptance and appreciation of multiple perspectives.

NEMO opens registration for the European Museum Conference 2022 on 9-11 October in Loulé, Portugal - this year’s event has a double meaning, being both the first chance for the European museum community to come together in two years and a celebration of 30 years of NEMO. The competition is thought of as an opportunity for landscape architecture students and young landscape architects professionals to present their work, vision and projects they work on. Future for Religious Heritage launches The Religious Heritage Innovator of the Year competition - applications can be submitted until 31 October for projects by organisations, public administrations, universities, cultural heritage professionals, academics and researchers, students as well as representatives of European civil society that relate to sustainability and religious heritage. European Parliament opens call for proposals for engagement grants - the call strives for an increased engagement of European citizens from as diverse public as possible, with the construction of a vibrant European democracy, thus encouraging their active involvement as change-makers in the European Elections 2024 communication campaign. The call will open on 22 June, and more details are available here.
CULTUROPOLIS - International Days of Cultural Rights - an event organised by Culture Action Europe, scheduled to take place on 16 - 19 November in Barcelona, it features both a call for projects and a call for papers with the deadline of 15 July.
Selected participants will have all their travel costs covered, and all details can be found here. Call for applications - Youth, Mental Health and Culture - the third topic of Voices of Culture 2021–2023 aims at generating project ideas and policy recommendations for the cultural and creative sectors and decision-makers on the topic of the role of the cultural and creative sectors in improving the mental health of young people.
