The European Heritage Youth Ambassador Programme calls for students and young people from all over Europe and beyond to share their stories and experiences in the heritage field online (e.g. on social media, websites, or blogs). At the same time, each Youth Ambassador acts as a bridge between students and young professionals and European heritage institutions like ESACH, Europa Nostra and the European Heritage Tribune.
About The European Students’ Association for Cultural Heritage (ESACH) is an international network of European students and young professionals working within the cultural heritage field. We are volunteers working towards enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration amongst cultural heritage students and young professionals through networking and sharing knowledge. Covering 40 countries, Europa Nostra is the most representative heritage network in Europe. The organisation campaigns to save Europe’s endangered monuments, sites and landscapes, in particular through the 7 Most Endangered programme, run in partnership with the European Investment Bank Institute. It celebrates excellence through the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards in partnership with the European Commission. It also contributes to the formulation and implementation of European strategies and policies related to heritage, through a structured dialogue with European Institutions. Description of the position As part of the network of European Heritage Youth Ambassadors, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a new heritage movement, to represent the voice of young people within Europa Nostra’s activities, to share your heritage-related experiences on social media, and to be a reporter for the European Heritage Tribune in your own country. This includes sharing relevant news articles about cultural heritage from your base country with the European Heritage Tribune, assisting the EHT editor-in-chief with translating articles and creating open-format blog entries. The position is honorary and requires an availability of at least 10 hours per month. The programme will start at the end of January 2021 and will run for 12 months.
