The ESACH / Europa Nostra Internship ProgrammeThe internship is aimed at raising and promoting the voice of students and young professionals in the field of cultural heritage in Europe and beyond. It is run by Europa Nostra and ESACH and gives the intern a possibility to gain relevant work experience in one of Europe’s leading organisations for cultural heritage. The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) is the largest network of local and regional governments in Europe. Together with its 60 associations in over 40 countries, CEMR promotes the construction of a united and democratic Europe based on local self-government, respect for the principle of subsidiarity, and citizen participation. Their activities revolve around themes such as citizenship, climate and environment, international partnerships, and territorial cohesion and development. UNESCO-Aschberg programme for artists and cultural professionals
At a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has considerably weakened the creative sector and greatly disrupted the production and distribution of cultural goods and services, UNESCO is giving a new impetus to the UNESCO-Aschberg Programme for Artists and Cultural Professionals to support States and key actors in their efforts to promote the status of the artist and the diversity of cultural expressions. The mission of the UNESCO-Aschberg programme is to improve the social and economic protection of artists, decent employment and the balanced circulation of cultural goods and services. The deadline for submission is 3 December 2021. You can find the call for proposals and the application forms here. Cultural Heritage in Action In its second phase (2021-2023), the EU-funded peer learning programme Cultural Heritage in Action - of which Europa Nostra is a proud partner - will continue to empower Europe’s cities and regions to strengthen their heritage-related policies and initiatives and to develop innovative solutions to preserve their cultural heritage assets. There are two calls, one regarding good practices, and a call to organise peer-learning visits during the 2nd phase of your project. European Heritage Days Stories Do you know a special story about European cultural heritage that you would like to share with us? Are you doing exciting work with heritage in your community? Then we want to hear from you! The call is a chance to share your heritage treasures with other communities in Europe. Your story will be published on our website, and eligible organisations will also have the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to 10.000 EUR to fund an activity-focused community project. The Call is a competitive grant award initiative organised through the European Heritage Days joint action of the Council of Europe and the European Union. The initiative aims to identify and enhance the European dimension of heritage work undertaken by heritage communities in Europe. The deadline is 17 January 2022. Learn more here.
