Active Members

Active Members are young people aged 18-35, or any current undergraduate or postgraduate student, who is a citizen, resident or temporary resident of a Council of Europe member state, shares Youth.Heritage.Europe’s values, and wishes to engage in the cultural and natural heritage sector. To join, online registration and payment of the annual membership fee are mandatory; membership begins once confirmed in writing by the Secretariat. Active Members may attend the General Assembly with voting rights and take part in our programmes and activities - often at a reduced rate - and receive regular updates. In return, they should notify the Secretariat within 30 days of any change to their personal details or student status.

Observing Members

Observing Members are individuals who share Youth.Heritage.Europe’s aims and wish to contribute but either do not meet all Active Member criteria or prefer not to hold active status; existing Active Members who later cease to meet the age, student or Council of Europe link automatically become Observing Members unless they choose to withdraw. Youth networks and organisations = international, European, national, regional or local - may also join as Observing Members. To apply, individuals submit the designated online form with a CV (or accept the Secretariat’s proposal to convert an active application), while organisations and informal networks provide a short presentation document via the observer form; membership starts once confirmed in writing by the Secretariat. Observing Members may attend the General Assembly without voting rights, take part in our activities (some fee-based), and receive regular updates, and they are expected to promote Youth.Heritage.Europe’s objectives and activities.
