In order to increase the local impact of ESACH in the individual countries, members are encouraged to form Working Groups. These groups are independent but associated with ESACH, and their activities are a great support for the European project on a local level. As of December 2020, we have 7 working groups spread throughout Europe.

Madrid, Spain

Asociación de Jóvenes Profesionales por el Patrimonio Cultural (AJPC) is a group of young professionals dedicated to the management, promotion, and protection of cultural heritage based on the Spanish territory but with a European perspective. AJPC was born from the enthusiasm and dedication of the former members of the ESACH working group in Madrid to become a reference for young professionals in the field. Their activities focus on the dissemination of Spanish cultural heritage assets and the young professionals’ work, through conferences, workshops and collaborations with Spanish and European organizations. 

Opole, Poland​

ESACH Poland is made up of a group of Law students (BA, MA and PhD) from the UNESCO Chair on Cultural Property Law of the University of Opole. They seek to investigate and raise awareness among society and students of the need to protect cultural heritage from Poland and Europe. The current coordinator of the group is Daryna Kupriianova. 

Girona, Spain

ESACH Girona is a group of students and young graduates from the Master in Heritage (Specialties in Cultural Heritage and Natural Heritage), offered by the University of Gerona. They hosted our General Meeting in 2018. The current coordinator of the group is Nuria Gascons Cuatrecasas. 

Évora, Portugal

The Society for Heritage Students in Evora is a working group committed to spreading heritage in  its diverse forms. They aim to collaborate with researchers from neighbouring fields and develop a  more multi-disciplinary approach of research while taking initiatives that help to spread the importance of cultural heritage to citizens. Portugal

ESACH Portugal is a group of young researchers working within cultural heritage. They are associated with ARTIS and run the Sharing Heritage blog. The coordinator of the group is Alexandra de Carvalho Antunes. 

Cottbus, Germany

Junger Kulturerbe-Experten Vereinigung is a group of students dedicated to protection and promotion of culture heritage in Germany and beyond from Heritage Studies Masters Courses at the Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany. It worked as an ESACH working group until Mar 2023. They seek to raise awareness and focus on the dissemination of knowledge around the Cottbus city. They aim to collaborate with researchers, professors, etc in the neighboring areas.
